Help
Answers to the common questions. Your downloads are always in your library, and mistakes on a page go through the corrections form.
Who will PayPal show as the payee?
WeldonPC, the business that operates Lake Erie Gazetteer. Payment is processed by PayPal and received by WeldonPC, so that's the name you'll see in PayPal and on your PayPal receipt.
I didn't get my file
Check the order page link in your PayPal receipt, or sign in to your library with the email you used: every purchase is there with a fresh download link. If PayPal is still clearing your payment, we deliver as soon as it does. If delivery fails three times, you'll automatically get a credit code for the full amount.
Can my school pay by PO? (No)
No. PayPal only; your PayPal receipt is your receipt. We can't accept purchase orders, invoices, W-9 requests or quotes. Many schools pay with a purchasing card through PayPal.
Is this an official site? (No)
No. Lake Erie Gazetteer is an independent reference run by WeldonPC. It isn't connected with any government agency, park, museum or society, though we cite many of them as sources.
Do you sell dive coordinates? (No)
No, never. Wreck positions appear only when a public source publishes them, rounded to about a kilometer, and protected sites show only the general area. Positions are not for navigation or diving.
What do I get when I buy?
PDF downloads (and a ZIP for the Wreck Pack and Complete Set) that you can save and print. Your library always offers the latest edition.
Can I get a refund?
Digital items are delivered instantly; all sales final. If delivery fails after 3 automatic retries, you automatically receive a credit code for the full value. If PayPal refunds or reverses a payment, the item or slot is revoked automatically.
How many times can I download?
Each link works 10 times over 14 days. Your library gives you a new link whenever you need one.
Do you have a newsletter?
No. We only email you about your own orders or listings.
Is this lighthouse open now?
We don't track hours or openings. Each light's page names its operator and links to their site, which has current details.
Can I climb the lighthouse?
See which lights have offered tower climbs, with the month we checked: lakeerie.info/lighthouses/climb.
Where can I fish / what are the limits?
For fishing rules see ODNR, PFBC, NYSDEC, Michigan DNR or Ontario's fishing regulations.
How do I report a mistake?
Use the corrections form. Include a source if you can.
How do I sponsor a page?
See lakeerie.info/sponsor. It's self-serve and costs $79 for 365 days.
Who do I contact about legal matters?
Write to legal@lakeerie.info.
Emails to noreply@lakeerie.info get an automatic reply pointing here; that mailbox isn't read. Legal notices go to legal@lakeerie.info.
